He finished his competitive career with an ISO of 125. Quickstars total Prize money earnings have amounted to €375.000,000.

Since his offspring have been old enough to perform he's been consistantly amongst the world's top ranked sires of showjumpers. Quick Star’s son ‘Big Star’ (Nick Skelton) is currently one of the hottest young jumpers in the world, winning team gold at the London Olympics & individually 5th, in 5 star GPs he was 1st at Aachen CSIO, Rome CSIO & Hamburg, 2nd at London, 3rd at La Baule CSIO and 4th at Wellington plus many more. 'Orient Express' (Patrice Delaveau) in 5 star GPs 1st at La Baule, Falsterbo & Gijon CSIOs & the GPw of Helsinki, 3rd in the GP of Aachen CSIO & 3rd GPw of Geneva. Lauren Hough’s Dublin 5 star Grand Prix winner ‘Quick Study’ who also won the Global Champions Tour GP in Hamburg in 2010 and in other 5 star GPs was 2nd & 3rd at Wellington, 4th at Paris, 5th at Gijon CSIO & 6th at Vienna.'Star Power' (Ian Miller) 9th individually at the London Olympics, in 5 star GPs 2nd at Wellington, 3rd in Gijon CSIO, at 4 star level won Nations Cup at Coapexpan jumping treble clear. 'Guccio' (Edwina Tops-Alexander) in 5 star GPs was 3rd at MonteCarlo & Donetsk, 6th at Oslo & 9th at La Coruna. He also is grand sire to the exciting Swiss team horse 'Castlefield Eclipse' by the good Quick Star son 'OBOS Quality'. Breeding Suggestions While obviously paying attention to his small size and avoiding mares that are themselves too small, a look at his successful progeny’s dam lines suggests Quick Star suits many types of mares. He produces sharp reflexed horses with plenty of power and energy. They generally have a voluntary winning mentality and try to stay clean even if their front end technique is not always classical. Star was at stud in the USA from 1985 on and from 1991 in Europe. The stallion is becoming increasingly popular, due to the striking performances of his offspring in show-jumping. The results of his progeny, including Sprehe Stella, Quilot Z, Quick Lauro Z and Quality Touch Z, are impressive.
