Abke is a capital jumper with a distinctly beautiful form and a high degree of elasticity, also in his basic paces. He is at home on the course: ability, technique and bascule meet the highest demands. His ability to handle fences is simply phenomenal. In 2002, Abke absolved his 30 day test in Vechta with an outstanding score and went on to win several novice and elementary class jumper tests. In 2004 he qualified for the Bundeschampionat. His first class first crop earned him the I b Main Premium in Vechta in 2003.
The sire, Acorado I, won his stallion performance test and is now also a highly successful jumper. The dam's sire, Contender, one of the greatest Holstein performance sires, was also a performance test winner, and Raphael, the third link in his ancestors, is one of today's most significant performance makers. The inbreeding component through Ramiro and Cor de la Bryère found three times in the generations farther behind is also noteworthy. The dam line also produced the well-known sires, Agrigento, Grandelstein, Kadett, Noble Dancer, President as well as the Bavarian State Stud sires, Rivero I, II and III. |
